We are deeply immersed in the beekeeping community of the Pacific Northwest and embedded in its history. We have been supplying and teaching Northwest beekeepers since 1898.
Our expanded product line supports the unique needs of the Northwest's diverse climate. We test out all of our products in our own apiaries. One of our bee yards is in the foothills east of the Cascade Mountains, where the weather is drier and more extreme. Our other bee yards are in the wetter climates of the Willamette Valley, west the Cascades.
Beekeeping is unique among agricultural activities. It is based on a symbiotic relationship, in which we host the bees in the hope of pollination, surplus honey, and the pleasure of observing the sophisticated workings of this highly structured social organism called a beehive.
